I was delighted, then, to discover an ideal odor-defense mechanism: an ingenious little gizmo called a Travalo now allows me to roam the world with my favorite perfume in tow.

Ahhhhh.

And yay for you, I’m giving one away — along with a chance to win a $400 flight voucher!

My favorite perfume is Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle, which comes in a big ol’  glass bottle with a rectangular stopper. (I know, right? I am fancy.) Equally afraid of breaking it and/or having it confiscated at airport security, I wouldn’t bring it with me across town, much less overseas.

The genius of the Travalo refillable sprayer is that it’s shatter-proof and takes up no more space or weight than an average lipstick or travel toothbrush. Bonus? It takes (notoriously spill-challenged) me about five seconds to fill, making zero mess and requiring no fiddly little funnels. Oh, and the little window-gauge allows me to see when I’m running low on perfume (or Adam, on cologne).

Useful for both men and women, the Travalo comes in a variety of colors: black, pink, red, gold or silver. They make one in plastic (the 5ml Travalo Pure), but for the sake of a slightly cooler design, I’d go with the Travalo Excel, the 5ml aluminum version that holds 65 sprays’ worth and retails for $19.99.
