We’ve just attended our first “underground dinner” in Los Angeles (as non-paying guests): we had a general idea of what we’d be eating, but until the 11th hour, no idea where we’d be eating.
The event was big, raucous, delicious and exciting — and part of a movement that’s happening all over the world.
Langham Huntington: Anniversary-tastic

For our recent wedding anniversary, we escaped a late summer heatwave at the Langham Huntington, an elegant fairyland with a view of the San Gabriel Mountains, a soothing spa and a staggering afternoon tea.
At the center of Pasadena, California, just north of Los Angeles, we’re not sure what’s better about the Langham:
That it feels like the Queen of England’s vacation palace…or that it’s a whopping 20 minutes from our house.
