Into Each Year, an Autumn Falls

We’re outta here, dear readers!
Autumn awaits…and with my October 8th birthday still lingering, a seasonal celebration is in order.
Adam’s taking off a little early today (well, he hopes to, anyway), and we (and Toby the corgi) are heading down to farm country in Julian, California.
Just two hours south of L.A. in San Diego County, Julian has Gold Rush-era buildings, a dozen wineries, and orchards aplenty for apple picking. We’ll soon be on our way to fresh cider, flaky pie, enormous pumpkins…and the simple pleasure of rustling through crispy leaves.
On our way back on Sunday, we’ll loop back through the Anzo-Borrego Desert, California’s largest state park; with any luck, we’ll see us a roadrunner or some bighorn sheep.
We can already feel our shoulders edging back away from our ears, and smell a little spice in the air…
In the meantime, we’d love to know:
Where do you go on the weekends to celebrate Fall?
