This past Saturday, we kicked off the start of the autumn gallery season with a trip south to Orange County’s Santa Ana, in support of one of my present group shows. Turns out that the first Saturday of every month from 7pm to 10pm, Artists’ Village in the old downtown comes alive with an art-themed block party — the Santa Ana Artwalk.
The evening was a joy, but the biggest surprise is that this little neighborhood is not only a wellspring of creativity, but of liberal thought, as well. Great artists and Obama voters behind the Iron Curtain of OC — who knew?
