Passports with Purpose 2012

It’s that time again, folks:

The travel bloggers’ annual fundraiser, Passports with Purpose!

In its 5th year, the goal is to raise $100,000 to fund drinking-water wells in rural Haiti.

The raffle is open Wednesday, November 28th – Tuesday, December 11th, and there are fabulous travel-themed prizes to be won.

So…let’s all get to donating, shall we?

This year’s fundraising recipient will be, who will use money raised by PwP to provide much-needed clean water for rural communities in Haiti, a country still struggling in the aftermath of its devastating 2010 earthquake.

The PwP founders — Seattle-ites/world travelers/friends/women I admire Beth Whitman, Pam MandelDebbie Dubrow and Michelle Duffy — have partnered with travel portal Expedia to widen the scope of this worthy cause.

Here’s an Expedia video about PwP and their commitment to Haiti:

There are the wonderful PwP prizes being offered by
this year’s global lineup of travel bloggers.

You’ll find a gift for everyone on your holiday list — or simply yourselves.

The PwP raffle is open now,
and each tax-deductible donation of $10 or more
will enter you in a drawing for the prize of your choice!

On Tuesday, December 11th, the auction will be closed.

On Tuesday, December 18th, winners will be notified.

  1. Thanks for the nice mention Melanie!

  2. Mara, thank YOU! Btw: I attended a PWP fundraising raffle in L.A. just this week, and won tickets to the Long Beach Aquarium…so it’s good to know that there are lots of ways to help out and win prizes!
