Julie, thank you for these amazing additions, especially the link for Endless Banquet!

Adam and I have a deep and abiding love for pho...but we can't get to Montreal before this Saturday. Meet you at Pho Bac 97 at noon? (Oh, how I wish I wasn't kidding...)

I'm grateful for your input and wowed by your blog, Empty Stomach, Empty Passport -- so much so, I just added it to my homepage blogroll.

Hi,
Montreal, Quebec is one of my favorite North American cities. Living in the Northeast certainly helps with proximity, as it is only a 5 hour drive. Perfect for a weekend. One of the highlights of Montreal is the food! I have had some amazing food experiences that I highly recommend!
1. Au Pied de Couchon - the chef/owner of this place is pretty well-known, and we had an amazing decadent meal here. http://www.restaurantaupieddecochon.ca/

2. This blog, Endless Banquet, is a great resource for all things Montreal. It was here that we got our insider food tips. http://www.endlessbanquet.blogspot.com/

3. Pho Bac 97 - Montreal's Chinatown is more of a little Saigon-town. We had the best pho of our lives at this tiny hole in the wall. $5 will feed you for the night.

4. Tapeo - another recommendation from Endless Banquet, this tapas restaurant is jam-packed but completely amazing. It's a little off the beaten path, and the host even asked us how we heard about it, almost like it was their little secret that we had stumbled upon.

Enjoy!
